One-Shot CT: 3D Imaging Completed in a Single Shot

Discover BIGSCAN's One-Shot CT, which reconstructs 3D images from a single shot without rotation. See the difference made by an arch-type fixed gantry, multiple X-ray sources, and GPU-accelerated image reconstruction.

Conventional CT collects images from many angles as the X-ray source rotates around the subject. BIGSCAN's One-Shot CT fundamentally changes this approach, reconstructing 3D images in a single shot without rotation.

How Is 3D Possible Without Rotation?

Arch-Type Fixed Gantry

X-ray sources and detectors are arranged within a fixed arch structure, acquiring multi-angle data simultaneously without mechanical rotation. With no movement, imaging time is short and motion artifacts are reduced.

Multi X-ray Source

Several X-ray sources project simultaneously from different angles, securing in a single exposure all the projection data needed for 3D reconstruction.

Image Reconstruction Technology

To obtain clear 3D images from a small number of projections, BIGSCAN combines the following technologies.

  • Compressive Sensing — high-quality image recovery from limited data
  • GPU acceleration — fast processing of large-scale 3D computation
  • Deep Learning · TV-FDK — suppresses noise and sharpens boundaries

Clinical and On-Site Benefits

  • Short imaging time helps manage patient burden and radiation exposure
  • Reduced motion artifacts minimize retakes
  • 3D data integrated with the oral endoscope and IO-Scanner
One-Shot CT is BIGSCAN's core proprietary technology for obtaining 3D images "faster and more accurately."
